Launch of New Pre-Election Prison Questionnaire
The Community Justice Coalition is celebrating the launch of its latest prison pre-election Questionnaire. The details of the event are shown below:
Venue: Atrium of Trades Hall Building, 377 Sussex St, Sydney
Date: Friday, 12th December 2014, 5pm -7:30pm
Speakers: John Dowd AO QC, Elizabeth Evatt AC and Prisoners Aid Association Spokesperson
The Questionnaire examines a spectrum of prison-related issues. It has been created by experts in their fields, covering the most important and pressing issues, including Women in Prison, Mental Health and Education. A Forum focusing on political parties’ responses is scheduled for February 17th at the University of Sydney Hall of Assembly.
We also will be acknowledging Prisoners Aid Association refunding by the Government to maintain prisoners’ property storage. This was a positive result of open examination of policies and community interaction. All parties supported the retention and Government will be congratulated for listening.

On Friday 12th of December, Community Justice Coalition launched a pre-election questionnaire aimed at examining different parties' responses to various prison-related and criminal justice issues prior to the 2015 elections. Created by experts, the questionnaire acts as a unique catalyst to not only initiate but also guide future collaboration and communication between political parties and community stakeholders.
